We are recruiting for an Assistant Controller/Director of Finance and Accounting who will be responsible for various accounting functions in the day-to-day processing of accounting transactions and preparing monthly financial statements. Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and manage financial records
• Perform and/or direct as required, accounts payables and receivables processes
• Calculate and analyze revenues, commissions and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
• Perform various other financial transactions for the preparation of financial statements
• Manage the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements budgets and forecasts to management and the Board of Directors
• Prepare working papers for financial audits
• Provide and implement recommendations for procedural improvements
• Monitor and improve the implementation of accounting internal controls

• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting policies and regulations (revenue recognition in particular)
Experience:
• BA/BS in Accounting
• 7+ years of accounting and supervising/managing finance team experience
• Some Big 4 or national accounting firm auditing experience
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• Experience in Marketing Services/Advertising (particularly digital marketing ) preferred
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint
• Proficiency with using and managing mid-sized financial ERP application desirable
• Good communications skills (both written and verbal) a must. Not looking for “a backroom” personality. Must be able to work effectively as a team member with account and project services personnel and communicate effectively with senior management
